I GIVE YOU MY HEART

My bright, beautiful Kindergartener has had a loose tooth for about a month.  We've encouraged her to wiggle it loose and even tried to convince her to allow us to pull it out from time to time but we did not get very far!  I kept saying, "You really need to let us pull it.  We don't want your new tooth to come in crooked!"  But there was no convincing.  Yesterday, however, we had a breakthrough!  She came in with tears in her eyes and said, "Mommy, it hurts, can you pull it today?"  She had finally had enough of the loose tooth and was willing to let me help her.

How many times are we like that with God?   God has good plans for all of us and He always has our best interest in mind, but how often do we say, "Not now God, maybe tomorrow!"  Serving the Lord with all of our heart is for TODAY, not tomorrow!  We may never see our tomorrow.  "How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone,"  James 4:14.  Jesus is calling you to serve Him TODAY.  He is knocking at the door of your heart, will you let Him in?

He loves you so much!  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes on Him will not perish, but have eternal life,"  John 3:16.  Don't waste another second of another minute of another day!  Life is too short to waste it on things that do not matter and only cause us more heartache.  This world is filled with empty promises that only lead to destruction.  God loves you! He honors His promises and will lead you in His love and His life.  Let Him come in and help you today...it's time to give Him your heart!  Pray this prayer with me:

"Heavenly Father, I ask you to forgive me for my sins.  I give you my life today.  This world has nothing to offer me.  I know you have good plans for me and today I choose do things your way.  I believe Jesus is your Son and He died for me.  He rose again and He has the power to give me life.   Lord, I give you my heart.  In Jesus' Name, Amen."
